Organization and Support

University of Florida personnel assigned to the Center for Remote Sensing include a Center Director (Prof. C. Direlle Baird), Researcher (Dr. Jonathan D. Jordan), Center Manager (Orlando Lanni), several graduate research assistants, and affiliated faculty (Dr. Chih-Hung Tan). As Figure 1 shows, the center also involves other UF/IFAS departments and IFAS research and education centers (RECs). The involvement of other faculty is mainly through the development of joint research programs, teaching courses, graduate student research work, interdisciplinary training programs, and extension programs. Operating expenses of the CRS are partially supported by an endowment.
